A lighted window would be nice. This is a great phone, good audio, in and out, phone book works well, headset jack works well.
Soon, you hear a loud busy signal and "if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again." If there's a trick, I haven't figured it out yet. It used to be that corded telephones were more inexpensive than cordless ones. If you have a home office, I would recommend spending a bit more and getting something better. But for the price, the phone is okay. Not anymore. This one is okay, but it doesn't hang up when you put the handset back on the cradle.
Although there are two things which do bug me a bit: the phone is a bit light on the desk and the feet don't have very good grip, so as one other reviewer mentioned, it does slide around a bit if you inadvertently pull on the handset cord. This phone had everything I wanted -- speakerphone, a headset connector, and call waiting/caller ID. If these two items were rectified, it would be five-stars all-the-way. Second, the caller ID screen is hard to read unless you're in a VERY bright room, and/or reading the display from directly above. Oddly enough this is a really unusual combination to find if you DON'T want an answering machine, or an AT&T model which only comes in white (at least when I was looking). The headset has a good heft, and the phone works well.
But I am amazed by this phone lack of a "message waiting" indicator. (I suppose the "ring indicator" light is useful for the hearing impaired.Anyway. I bought this phone because it's one of the few desk phones on the market that (a) has a headset jack (b) does not plug into wall power. There is a red LED in the top right corner of the phone, but that's just a "ring indicator", which is useless to me because the ring is itself an indicator. if this phone has a flashing light that indicated "messages are waiting" I would have rated this a 5-star product. The later is important because there is a lot of electrical interference in my house and other phones (with AC power) had too much static on the line.Overall I like this phone. The call quality is great.
It reminds me of a kid's toy phone.actually a kid's toy phone is made better. This was ordered for my home office due to having a speaker phone and several good reviews I read. Bad product. Look for another phone if you want to actually talk on a phone. After receiving it , it wouldn't work and was made very cheap. This is a very cheap product and made in china with thin plastic.
